The Monday Show Low Down (Or “Put On Your Dancin’ Shoes. And Come Out Of Your Igloos”)

Man, Rademacher were so good at Spaceland last night, I think I spontaneously combusted just a little bit.

They really ought to move to LA and stop this long distance relationship we’ve been having for so long now…

Here’s a look at the week in live music stuff:

DECISION:
I don’t really know any of the band’s playing the free Monday night residencies this month overly well and have to work tonight, so can’t check any of them out. If you can leave comments about how the shows were tomorrow, that would be rad.

DECISION:
The trifecta of The Hold Steady, Art Brut, and The Blood Arm at The Henry Fonda (formerly at The Wiltern) is pretty damn solid. And for lovers of local music, The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra and One Trick Pony are well worth catching.

- The Octopus Project @ The Roxy

DECISION:
Saturday Looks Good To Me has been one of my favorite bands for a few years now. They nail the “pleasantly melancholy” pop music and I heart them for it. Add local pop act Princeton to the mix and you’ve got the makings of a great show. (And an early one at that... It starts at 5.)

We’ve got a few tickets to give away for it. Just write us here with “SLGTM Tickets” in the headline and your full name to be entered in the drawing.

And later that night Austin’s The Octopus Project make beautiful, frenetic electronic music over at The Roxy and Jens Lehkman plays a sold-out show at The Troubadour.

- The Walkmen @ Troubadour

DECISION:
The Pity Party’s at The Scene, Eskimohunter is at Spaceland, and Marvelous Toy at All-Star Lanes. Again, who can decide?

That’s it. Did I miss anything? Please lemme know.
