The Monday Show Low Down (Or “Excess Is Very Often Its Own Reward”)

It’s so damn hot in LA right now that anyone with AC or a pool has gotten really popular this last weekend. I mean, it’s like surface of the sun outside and if you have any records, even indoors, you better tend to them.

Luckily, it’s gotten at least bearable at night time, so shows aren’t unattendable and, y’know, you can do that sleeping thing.

But you don’t need a weatherman to tell you it's a little balmy out and an amateur music writer even less... So, let’s take a look at how this week’s LA show line-up is shaking out.

DECISION:
The Indie 103.1 night over at The Viper Room is pretty strong between The Minor Canon and The Prix, while The Happy Hollows kick off the first of their free residency nights at Spaceland. (They’ll have a few song advance of their new album on hand. Listen to the track Monster Room here.)
