Let's Independent! & Two CD Release Events

I'm happy to announce the details for our next Let's Independent! event at Boardner's of Hollywood, as well as two CD release events that we're helping present. Hope you can make some or all!

1) LET'S INDEPENDENT! w/ The Parson Redheads, Buddy, & The Hidden Hooks

Our next event at Boardner's of Hollywood takes place on Tuesday, June 17th with the co-headliners psych folk act The Parson Redheads and sad/happy indie pop group Buddy -- and introducing the new acoustic band The Hidden Hooks.

It's a Dewar's Low Dough Show so it's a $5 (all the proceeds are going directly to the bands, so it's a great way to support local music) and there will be $3 Dewar's drink specials all night.

Boardner's of Hollywood is located at 1652 N. Cherokee, and the event starts at 9:00 PM and is 21+.

For more info and to hear/download tracks from all three bands, go right here.

2) Radio Free Silver Lake & The Fold Present: Thailand CD Release Event

Not only will local electro-pop heartthrobs Thailand will have their new EP on sale for the first time at the release event -- which takes place on Wednesday, June 25th at The Silver Lake Lounge -- they'll be giving away a bonus CD of alternate tracks from the record (different versions of a few songs, a couple songs that didn't make the cut).

Joining the band are Long Beach loudees The Soft Hands, indie rock act Good On Paper, and the wonder that is One Trick Pony -- plus I'll be DJing a set of local independent music.

3) Radio Free Silver Lake and LA Underground Present: The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra CD Release Event

If you haven't seen indie pop merchants The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra yet, you haven't, like, lived or something... This night's a good chance to catch them live and pick up a copy of their Escarpments EP. (It's great.)

Joining in on the celebration are Fol Chen, The Stevenson Ranch Davidians, and Magic Mirror (also w/ a new cd).

It's Thursday, July 3rd at The Echo, the show starts at 9:00 PM, it's FREE for 21+ and $5 for under, and I'll be DJing.

Again, hope you can make it out!
