Next Tuesday Night: Let's Independent! w/ The Black Pine, Black Kites, & EXITMUSIC

Mark your calenders and stuff. Because it's less than a week away from our next Let's Independent! event at Boardner's of Hollywood. Tell your friends and super acquaintances. (Tell your enemies that it's somewhere else...)

It's a night of darkly sweet pop music from some of LA's best shoegaze, dream pop, and "other" acts. Namely, the following:

1) The Black Pine -- Our headliners have hidden out since their residency at The Echo last year, recording a new album w/ Raymond Richards of Red Rockets Glare. This show marks their first time playing out this new material.

3) EXITMUSIC -- "Left off center from most local LA indie rock and pop are EXITMUSIC, a preternaturally attractive husband and wife team who create music that's a mix of The Cranes, Mazzy Star, and Tom Waits... a midnight carnival cavalcade, all throaty and dark and full of intrigue."

3) The Black Kites -- Make "songs that could make a sad person dance." As Stan Lee would say, nuff said.

The show takes place on Tuesday, July 15th at Boardner's of Hollywood, which is located at 1652 N. Cherokee -- near the corner of Hollywood and Cherokee.

It's 21+, starts at nine, and the entirety of the $6 door goes directly to the bands. The event is also sponsored by Dewar's and it will present $3 Dewar's specials all night.
