The Monday Show Low Down (Or “It’s So Pretty… Like Extra Flowers.”)

Yesterday’s Little Radio Summer Camp downtown was great -- a mix of good bands, excellent people, cheap margaritas, and sunshine. I can easily foresee making many of these weekly events this summer. Fun times.

And geesh, I’ve been trying to lay low and not go out to shows every night lately in an effort to not, y'know, burn out on music, but that looks like that’s come to an end because there are so many great bands playing this week...

DECISION:
The night where indie country act The Lonely Years performed at Pehrspace a few weeks back was one of my favorite live shows this year, so I’m definitely catching them play at The Scene on Friday night...

DECISION:
Saturday night with The Airborne Toxic Event, The Happy Hollows, and Radars to the Sky all playing together at The Troubadour is one of the shows I’m most looking forward to this month. Seeing any of them separately is always super fun, but together? It's going to be murder.

Here are all three flyers for the event, just to be excessive.

We also have free tickets to give away for Thunderbirds are Now! and The Junior Varsity at Spaceland. (Just write us with the subject header FREE TICKETS and the band names.)

DECISION:
I’ll be DJing for a few hours at this week’s Little Radio Summer Camp at their downtown warehouse, but that’s the least of the many reasons why you should go… (The biggest is a close race between The Little Ones, the vegan BBQ grill, and the mini-water slide.)

Whew... That’s it. Did I miss anything? Please lemme know.
