REMINDER: Let's Independent! Tonight w/ The Poor Excuses, Manhattan Murder Mystery, & Tenlons Fort

One final reminder... Tonight's our Let's Independent! event at Boardner's of Hollywood with The Poor Excuses, Manhattan Murder Mystery, and Tenlons Fort. Starts at 9PM for the 21+, is $6 (w/ all proceeds going directly to the bands), and there are $3 Dewar's drink specials all evening. For more details and songs, go right here.

THE POOR EXCUSES -- "I had been writing and performing around town for a while, being a singer-songwriter and it was so hard. Doing solo sets on piano and not sharing the stage with anyone, it felt like there was no energy. Around that time I met Mike Whiteside who is a great rock guitarist and drinking buddy. And we talked about writing some high-energy material... trying to shake things up. So we just started trying it and it led to The Poor Excuses."



MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY -- "I don't know about them but when I get onstage I have to rock out one hundred percent. And you can quote me on that."



TENLONS FORT -- "Later it became a term for when u are doing what u love, could be swimming, could be gardening, could be sleeping, but when u were doing it, u were in your tenlons fort. Or it could be the box or a physical space that u decide to put all the negitive shit in ure life inside. Not forget about it, but take it out and place it inside the tenlons fort, and not let it return again."
