Let's Independent!: The Aftermath

It would be a stretch to call last night's show crowded, but it could be quite succinctly regarded as "a lot of goddamn fun." Photo and video evidence are pending, but hell if that wasn't a great time... Many thanks to everyone who played, attended, and helped promote, and to Dewar's for all the cheap drinks.

Tenlons Fort's Jack Gibson opened up the night with some singer/songwriter business accompanied by Amnion's Aaron Embry on keyboard, followed by an on-and-off-stage performance by Manhattan Murder Mystery, leading into a rambunctious set by The Poor Excuses (whose I'll Do It is the perhaps best song about oral sex since Judas Priest's Love Bites). All while the film below played in the background.

Next month's Let's Independent! event is a dual cd release party for Tigers Can Bite You and Light FM, and they'll be joined by The French Semester. So, in effect, three great acts co-headlining.

Should be some fun times on Tuesday, October 21st. More soon...
